Born in Chandannagar, Hoogly, West Bengal in the year 1961. Graduated in the year 1982 from Govt. College of Art and Craft Kolkata in Fine Arts. 1982 – 1987 – A special training in modern technique and portrait painting taken under the able guidance of eminent artist and professor of art from Kolkata.
